Meet your instructor

Dr. Angelica Geter

Dr. Geter is a highly sought-after speaker and advisor. She is the City of Atlanta's former Chief Health Officer. Under her consultancy, Impactful Collaboration, she provides guidance to corporations, small enterprises, and governmental agencies, aiding in the progression of health equity research, strategic planning, and organizational transformation. Dr. Geter's expert counsel has notably influenced national guidance, programs, and interventions.

Dr. Geter has shared her knowledge through television, magazines, podcast interviews, op-eds, and national and international conferences. The Technical.ly DC Culture Builder of the Year has been widely recognized for her expertise and featured in several media outlets, including Essence Magazine, Yes Magazine, CNBC News, MSN, and Black Enterprise.

Dr. Geter’s contributions to the public health field have earned her multiple accolades, including being named to Morehouse School of Medicine’s distinguished “Top 10 Under 40” list, named a Trailblazer to Black Female Therapists “Top 25 in Mental Health and Wellness” list, and being inducted into the University of Kentucky College of Public Health Hall of Fame in 2023.

Geter earned a Doctor of Public Health in Health Behavior and a minor in Biostatistics from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Public Health in Behavioral Sciences and Health Education from Emory University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mississippi College.
